Happily Ever After

We have had the opportunity to make Kruffles for a number of weddings over the summer. One in particular was in Dallas, Texas. (Yes we hope to open a Kruffles branch there eventually!)

Everything about the wedding was beautiful! Especially the amazing couple!

Here are a few pictures from that special night. A special thanks to J. May Photography in Dallas Texas for providing these amazing photographs! We've mentioned it before but we can't say it enough - if you need a Dallas photographer she's the way to go! Just check out her website for more amazing pictures!

There were Bride & Groom cakeballs...

Everyone's favorite Red Velvet...

Our newest flavor Tiramisu...

This is our favorite picture because it captured the Bride & Groom in the background.

A groomsmen definitely "knocked one off" before it was time for dessert in order to be the first to taste these special treats!

We had a blast making these and being a part of their special night.

Congratulations to all our Kruffles Couples. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your Happily Ever After! We will post more wedding photos soon.

My FIRST Birthday & My FIRST Cakeball!

We had the pleasure of making Cakeballs for a ONE year old! We did the party favors as well as the big Birthday Boy Cakeball. We put these on sticks, dipped them in chocolate, added a "1" and wrapped each one in cellophane and tied it off with a ribbon.

They turned out really cute, but don't take our word for it. See for yourself.

We made a few different ones. Here's a Cake Pop dipped in chocolate with a Baby Blue Number 1 on the front!

Here's some others with the new Polka Dot Design

Finally the Special Birthday Boy's Cakeball.

Happy Birthday little man! We hope you LOVED your FIRST Cakeball!

Safari Kruffles

We had a BLAST making Safari Kruffles for a baby shower last week!

Our designer sketched out the animals and our staff followed the design.

We made elephants & lions for the shower and were sad to part with them. Each one was so much fun and had it's own little personal touch.

Are you ready to see them?!

Ok

Look

A side view to prove that they really are cake truffles!

We couldn't decide which one was our favorite!

This little guy looked like Simba! :-)

Each Lion had it's own cute little face with a different little personality! These were way too cute (and tasted even better!)

A close up of the elephants!

Here they are all packaged up and ready to go:

Kruffles LLC

Welcome to our new blog!

We are happy to announce that we have changed our name!

Why Kruffles?

After months of searching for the perfect name to match our mouth watering cakeballs we realized we loved calling them Cake Truffles even more than Cakeballs.

We played around with hundreds of names (thanks to many of you that even contributed suggestions!) There were tons of names that we laughed about for days and others that we loved but realized already existed. We wanted something unique.

Evenutally we realized the name had always been there. Cake Truffles.
Cake + Truffles. Which eventually turned into Kruffles.

Why with a K though?

The K comes from the owner's name since the "Touch" in The Sweet Touch came from her name too we wanted to keep the tradition going! So Kruffles was officially born! Uniquely personal. Just like our Cake Truffles.

French TWIST

Our newest challenge yet... To add a new fun twist to a French delicacy - the Croquembouche.

The Croquembouche, literally translates to a "crunch in the mouth". It is a traditional French cake often served at weddings and other important celebrations and is a tree of profiteroles, cream puffs, or macarons.

So we made a tree of Cakeballs! We've already got orders for more so check back soon to see what the next ones look like!

Want to see the FIRST EVER Cakeballs Croquembouche ?!

Well we are dying to show off our newest creation. So here it is:

These were Red Velvet Cakeballs dipped in milk chocolate, covered with purple fondant flowers and sprinkled with powdered sugar! It was a HUGE hit!

We snapped a few pictures of our Cakeball Croquembouche before adding the final powdered sugar touch.

This was for a birthday celebration. We hope the birthday girl LOVED it as much as we did!!

Want to give us a new challenge? We dare you! Ok not really but we would LOVE to give it a shot! We really do love trying new things!!
